Participants in the Capacity Building on AI and Cybersecurity program, — jointly organized by the World Internet Conference Digital & AI Academy (WICDA) and the Hong Kong Cybersecurity Professionals Association — visited Hong Kong Cyberport for a field study tour on April 12.

The Hong Kong Cyberport — wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government — serves as Hong Kong’s digital technology hub and AI accelerator, helping to drive industrial digitalization and intelligent transformation forwards.
During the visit, around 40 government officials, technical professionals and business representatives — from 16 countries and regions across Asia, Africa and Latin America — received a comprehensive briefing on the Cyberport’s efforts to build Hong Kong’s AI ecosystem and nurture start-ups.
Participants also exchanged views with representatives of local cybersecurity companies on AI-related cybersecurity challenges and corporate response strategies. In addition, they experienced firsthand the practical application of AI technologies in such areas as education, public services and smart city development.
