Founded in 2016, Unitree Robotics is a globally recognized Chinese manufacturer specializing in the independent research, development, production and sales of high-performance general-purpose quadruped and humanoid robots, as well as dexterous robotic arms for both consumer and industrial applications. 

The robotic products of the company, which is headquartered in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, have appeared in major international and national events, including the CCTV Spring Festival Galas in 2021 and 2025, the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, and the Super Bowl 2023 pregame show. 

Through its long-term investment and research in core components, motion control, robotic perception and decision-making, and AI technologies, Unitree Robotics continues to advance the robotics industry.

Since its inception, Unitree Robotics has aimed to create intelligent robots that are both practical and engaging, contributing to global technological progress. 

The company was the first in the world to publicly retail high-performance quadruped robots and among the earliest to successfully deploy them in real-world commercial applications. 

Over the past nine years, Unitree Robotics has expanded from quadruped robotics into a broad range of commercial applications across research, industrial and consumer sectors. 

Its quadruped robots account for about 60 to 70 percent of global shipments, while its large-scale general-purpose humanoid robots are leading the world in shipments. 

It's products are now deployed in more than 50 percent of countries and regions worldwide, making it one of the leading companies globally in both quadruped and humanoid robot shipments in recent years.

In 2024, the World Internet Conference established the WIC Distinguished Contribution Award to recognize individuals and enterprises that have made outstanding contributions in global internet-related fields. 

To date, 12 leading figures and 26 well-known business enterprises from around the world have received the award.

For enterprises, the award features three categories — Social Contribution, Innovation Breakthrough, and Growth Potential. 

The awarded companies span a wide range of sectors — including internet platforms, mobile communications, artificial intelligence, chip designs, energy and power and cybersecurity. 

Together, they depict a diverse and thriving internet ecosystem, encouraging more outstanding enterprises to engage in the development of the internet and to jointly explore the limitless possibilities of the digital future.
