Growth Potential award-winning enterprise: Tianyi Cloud

Tianyi Cloud — a technology, platform and service-oriented company under China Telecom — was founded on July 1, 2021. 

Upholding the national cloud development principles of cloud-network integration, security and trustworthiness, green and low-carbon development, as well as open ecosystems, the company provides full stack cloud services including public cloud, private cloud, dedicated cloud, hybrid cloud and edge cloud solutions.

Tianyi Cloud has established a nationwide cloud-network resource layout based on a 4+4+31+X structure. It has built China's first and second domestically developed, fully liquid-cooled, single-cluster 10,000-accelerator AI computing centers in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta regions. 

At the same time, it upgraded its integrated intelligent computing platform, xirang — introducing a new Triless architecture that enables resource, framework and tool-agnostic capabilities.

This shift allows computing power to move from simply being accessible to being used efficiently, significantly lowering the threshold to large-model applications and providing inclusive AI infrastructure services for society as a whole.

As AI technologies continue to advance rapidly, cloud computing has become a critical foundation for AI development and a key enabler of China's transition from digitalization to intelligent transformation. By deeply integrating AI capabilities, Tianyi Cloud is accelerating the intelligent evolution of cloud services.

Seizing the opportunities presented by AI development, Tianyi Cloud continues to strengthen its intelligent computing foundation, positioning xirang as a core pillar of the national cloud in the AI era. 

Tianyi Cloud has planned and built a 2+3+7+X public intelligent computing cloud infrastructure that supports services nationwide. Together with the two domestically developed, fully liquid-cooled, single-cluster 10,000-accelerator AI computing centers in Beijing and Shanghai, this infrastructure enables efficient integration and flexible scheduling of computing resources. 

Tianyi Cloud has also established an integrated intelligent cloud capability system covering computing power, platforms, data, models and applications. 

Committed to technological innovation, the company continues to make breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields. Centered on its self-developed cloud operating system, Tianyi Cloud has launched China's first server fully localized at the component level, alongside independently developed server operating systems and cloud-native distributed databases. 

These efforts enable end-to-end, independently controllable capabilities spanning foundational hardware and software to advanced cloud services, forming a secure and self-reliant digital foundation for the national cloud.

From basic resource provision to intelligent enablement, Tianyi Cloud has progressed along an innovative path from traditional cloud services to the intelligent computing cloud and now to the intelligent cloud. 

In the era of AI, Tianyi Cloud is leveraging xirang to strengthen the national cloud's AI infrastructure and, with its new intelligent cloud capabilities, step into a new stage of development.

In 2024, the World Internet Conference established the WIC Distinguished Contribution Award to recognize individuals and enterprises that have made outstanding contributions in global internet-related fields. 

To date, 12 leading figures and 26 well-known business enterprises from around the world have received the award.

For enterprises, the award features three categories — Social Contribution, Innovation Breakthrough, and Growth Potential. 

The awarded companies span a wide range of sectors — including internet platforms, mobile communications, artificial intelligence, chip designs, energy and power and cybersecurity. 

Together, they depict a diverse and thriving internet ecosystem, encouraging more outstanding enterprises to engage in the development of the internet and to jointly explore the limitless possibilities of the digital future.
