What we do

As a major activity during the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, the release of the World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements aims to show the latest global internet-related scientific and technological (S&T) achievements and advocate global S&T innovation, exchanges, and cooperation. This title is our recognition of internet practitioners for their remarkable work in technological innovation and collaboration.

Every year, approximately 15 achievements will be shown at the Release Ceremony for World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements by their representatives during the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit. Approximately five achievements will have the opportunity to be presented in the form of a short video at the Release Ceremony. About 60 achievements will be recorded in the World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements book——Charm of Science and Technology.

Since 2016, dozens of technology companies like Amazon, Apple, IBM, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Huawei, Samsung, SAP, Tesla, Xilinx, universities such as UC Berkeley, Tsinghua University, and Peking University, and projects such as RINA Air217 and BeiDou Satellite, have shown their achievements at release ceremonies for World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements.

How to participate

Step 1. Submission

Submissions will open from today until June 27 (24:00 UTC+8), 2022  to all teams who have made internet-related scientific and technological achievements.

Step 2. Evaluation

In July, valid submissions will go through multiple rounds of voting and rating by our expert team to form an annual achievements list. The event organizer will not reveal the list until the Release Ceremony.

Step 3. Preparation

From August to the release ceremony in September, teams of the achievements will prepare for their presentation according to notice.

Step 4. Presentation & Promotion

Approximately 15 achievements will be presented at the Release Ceremony for World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements by their representatives during the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit. Approximately five achievements will have the opportunity to be presented in a short video at the Release Ceremony. Approximately 60 achievements will be recorded in the World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements book——Charm of Science and Technology.
